 Every summer we can see how music unifies the Ida-Virumaa County into one cultural whole for a week. The town of Jõhvi at the crossroads with its ancient church and soon completed new concert house, the industrial centre of Kohtla-Järve, the border town of Narva and its majestic St Alexander's Church emerging from ruins, the seaside resort of Narva-Jõesuu, the surprising Sillamäe and others offer each a pleasant and spirited concert. The Music of Seven Towns takes listeners to exciting landscapes in the musical and geographical sense. This eastern region of Estonia has never before been able to afford such music festivities. The Festival is organised by Eesti Kontsert, the Artistic Director is Hirvo Surva and producer Svea Ideon-Marks.
