Festival 2025:
Viljandi is becoming a city of guitars once again: from October 8 to 12,  Viljandi Guitar Festival will bring together brilliant musicians from Estonia and abroad. This year, the festival will present itself to the audience with a fresh and unique visual identity, created by Martin Rästa, who has given the festival a special look, highlighting its versatility and creativity and combining these with the golden tones of autumn.

The festival, which focuses on genre-defying and improvisational guitar music, will take place for the 18th time in 2025 – it's time to start making your autumn plans and get ready for an unforgettable musical experience!

Among others, world-class musicians such as Mike Stern and Leni Stern (US), Finnish guitar virtuoso Varre Vartiainen (FI), and Duo Siqueira Lima (UY/BR) will take the stage. From Estonia, Valter Soosalu will perform his unique instrument - the Harpejji, Jaak Sooäär Trio will perform in the Viljandi baptiste church and, music will be heard from TamTam in Viljandis Mischelin recommended restaurant Fellin, and the new music stage will feature guitar player and producer Frederik Küüts and roots-rock n roll band South of Savoy. The festival program combines jazz, classical music, world music, and improvisation, with intimate concerts taking place at venues such as the Puppet Theater and the Baptist Church, larger concerts at the Traditional Music Hall, and late-night jams at Konservatoorium.
