The festival “Towers of Tallinn” was born in the year of 2011 when Tallinn held the title of European Capital of Culture. It was one of the prime events that August.

In the Festival “Towers of Tallinn” Corelli Music connects the history of ancient Tallinn, the tips of it’s towers and the tops of creatives. Festival introduces the city's famous silhouette inside out through with different eras of music. Medieval and renaissance music in all its colors: from cleric glorifications and sentimental love songs to vivid dances and elvish drinking songs.

19.00 Kellerteater (Uus 37, Tallinn) PERFORMERS: Anna-Liisa Eller (kannel, psaltery, recorder) and Taavi Kerikmäe (electronics) PROGRAM: Sounds in time. Music through seven centuries: from 14th century until nowadays. In this concert a large variety of instruments will be heard: medieval psaltery, renaissance recorder, chromatic Estonian kannel and many electronic instruments from contemporary times. It’s a meeting point of medieval sounds and modern electronic sonance, baroque and contemporary music, compositions and improvisations. Program contains music by Guillaume de Machaut, Petrus Wilhelmi de Grudencz, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Helena Tulve, improvisations.

20.00 Swedish St. Michael's Church (Rüütli 9, Tallinn) PERFORMERS: Ulla Krigul (organ) ja baroque ensemble Corelli Consort: Ka Bo Chan (countertenor), Mail Sildos (baroque violin), Tõnu Jõesaar (viola da gamba) PROGRAM: Organ night. Wonderful organ music and most beautiful baroque arias in a soft summer night. – Georg Friedrich Handel, Henry Purcell, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart etc.

16.00 Open air stage of Harjumägi hill PERFORMERS: Raivo Tafenau (saxophone) ja Ramuel Tafenau (drums) PROGRAM: Jazz dialog of father and son.Contemporary jazz has no borders. Saxophone and drum duo is surely not a mainstreamensemble, because it excludes bass and harmony. Raivo and Ramuel are delegating the oldest argument - which was first: the chicken or the egg - into the music. So in this concert the question will be: was there first a melody or a rhythm. And is the blood thicker than water as well.

18.00 Town Hall Square PERFORMER: Rita Ray: Rita Ray (vocal), Artis Boriss (keys), Kristen Kütner (guitar), Jasper Alamaa (bass) ja Ott Adamson (drums) PROGRAM: Old Love Will Rust. Rita Ray’s self creational journey on the traces of soul and classical R&B. Rita Ray is the first real Estonian following the blue eyed soul music. The lead singer and songwriter of a 5-piece band has polished her skills as a vocalist, pianist and composer by being involved with choir singing for 10 years and studying jazz. In 2019 she released her debut album "Old Love Will Rust". The 8-track journey on the traces of soul and classical R&B includes an upbeat treat influenced by genuine sparkling disco scenes from the 70s. After the album release work continued therefore our audience can hear new and yet unreleased material as well. Rita Ray enchantes the audience with her live performances where her soulful yet powerful voice and catchy melodies can really shine. Free entry! In collaboration with Tallinn Culture Night
