Viljandi guitar festival The focus of the Viljandi Guitar Festival is to promote improvisational and cross-stylistic guitar playing skills, introduce guitarists from Estonia and abroad developing international cooperation in the field of guitar studies. The first half of the festival concentrates on music students and master classes, incorporating the day of Estonian guitar builders consulting in technical matters and presenting their newest instruments. The concerts of the festival are held in the venues of Estonian Traditional Music Centre, Viljandi Puppet Theatre. St. John's Church and Viljandi Water Tower. The festival presents also the annual Tiit Paulus Young Guitar Player's Prize. As every year next year we are bringin some great international artistis from all over the world and all over Estonia to Viljandi. In addition to our regular concerts we are bringin together also the gruitar students from Heino Eller Music School, Tallinn School of Music and Ballet, University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy to play together and learn from the best with masterclasses.
