Held since 1999, this chamber music event enriches the summer music life of the second biggest West-Estonian island, offering exciting historical venues and performers, whom you usually do not get to hear elsewhere in Estonia.

The Festival is organised by the Hiiumaa Chamber Music Association, its Artistic Director is pianist Mart Ernesaks, grandson of the most famous Estonian choir and song festivals' leader Gustav Ernesaks. The Artistic Chief Organisers have been Mati Lukk, a distinguished double-bass player and Concertmaster of the double-bass section of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, and violinist Aet Ratassepp, one of the initiators of the Festival. Tastefully combined programmes offer chamber music at the Emmaste and Reigi Church and the historical Suuremõisa Castle and its yard, where the Festival was originally born out of summer evening concerts years ago.
